The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) in Gwalior is inviting applications for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. This appointment is under a research project funded by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology (MPCST), titled "End-to-End Deep Learning Model for Pulmonary Nodule Detection and Risk Characterization in Early Lung Cancer Screening." The position is initially offered for a duration of twelve months, with the potential for extension based on satisfactory performance.

Applicants must possess a Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with an MSc, MCA, or MS in a relevant branch, with completion of higher secondary education (10+2) including Mathematics, are also eligible to apply. It is required that the qualifying degree be recognized by the Institute and that candidates have secured a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. Preference will be given to applicants who have qualifications such as GATE or NET.
Candidates with experience in areas such as image processing, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and proficiency in tools like PyTorch and Python modules will be preferred.

The initial appointment is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension contingent upon project requirements and performance reviews occurring every six months.
The principal investigator of the project is Prof. K. V. Arya, supported by co-principal investigators Dr. Sunil Kumar and Dr. Divya Gautam.
