IIT Guwahati Recruitment for Manager and Assistant Project Engineer

Overview of Positions

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is inviting applications for temporary contract positions for:

• 3 Posts of Manager - Strategic Partnerships & Philanthropy
• 1 Post of Assistant Project Engineer

These positions are essential to support the ACIR Section of the institution, emphasizing strategic partnerships and project engineering.

Qualifications

Manager - Strategic Partnerships & Philanthropy

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering; graduates from IITs will be preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in client-facing roles.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
• Experience in fundraising, corporate relations, or philanthropic endeavors will be advantageous.

Assistant Project Engineer

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology with 1 year of experience,
• or MCA with 1 year of experience,
• or a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science/IT with 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of JAVA, HTML, PHP, SQL, and MariaDB is desirable.

Age Limit

The age limit for the Assistant Project Engineer position is not more than 30 years.

Tenure

Both positions are initially for a term of 11 months, with possibilities for extension based on performance and institutional requirements.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the candidate's performance during the interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified regarding further processes.

Additional Conditions

• Candidates currently employed by Central/State Government, PSUs, or private entities must provide a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
• No travel or daily allowance will be reimbursed for the Assistant Project Engineer interview.
• For Manager position interviews, candidates will be reimbursed for economy class airfare if booked through specified service providers.
• Medical facilities will be offered as per IITG project staff norms.
• No accommodation will be provided on campus for selected candidates.
